This presentation will focus on the fundamentals of compliance with respect to supervision and delegation of your staff while you are treating patients.  States differ in their regulations that govern which health care practitioners can delegate treatments to others, along with the licenses, skills, and training of the delegatee. Who is responsible for overseeing these protocols, and do they need to be on-site, or can telecommunication aid this supervision? Join Jay E. Minton, JD, and Sam Pondrom, JD, of ByrdAdatto as they discuss the fundamentals of compliance with respect to supervision and delegation of your staff while you are treating patients.

Utilizing these skills, Pondrom works in partnership with clients addressing their complex business and healthcare regulatory issues in the most simple, straightforward way. He lectures to doctors and other providers throughout the country at medical conferences on a myriad of issues dealing with the business of medicine. Pondrom also regularly teaches and trains other attorneys in both accredited and non-accredited continuing education courses on healthcare law.

He began his legal career working for the Fifth Court of Appeals in Dallas, assisting judges in shaping the law through legal research and drafting court opinions. Minton then added perspective during his time as a litigator, seeing the real-life experiences that businesses face when engaged in a contract or business dispute. Now, he combines his experiences from inside the court system and as a litigator to help clients navigate the various business and health care risks confronting a business.

In 2024, most small business owners, including medical spas, will have a new annual federal reporting requirement with which to comply.

In 2024, most small business owners, including medical spas, will have a new annual federal reporting requirement with which to comply. One of the provisions of the Corporate Transparency Act, which was created to combat financial crimes, requires businesses to report information on their beneficial owners to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), which is part of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. This requirement for reporting beneficial ownership information (BOI) goes into effect on January 1, 2024. In this webinar, AmSpa CEO, Alex Thiersch, JD, and AmSpa General Counsel, Patrick O'Brien, JD, will tell medical spa owners what they need to know about the law and what they'll need to do to comply with it when it goes into effect.
