Part 1: 3-D Global Approach to Facial Anatomy for the Injector
This segment discusses our unique approach to facial mapping and anatomical navigation for the filler injector Christopher C. Surek D.O, FACS will address all the key components comprising the “symphony” of structures in the face. Including the retaining ligaments, fat compartments, potential spaces, vasculature, SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system) and lymphatics. Please watch this lecture first prior to moving on to the targeted aesthetic zones in the rest of the lecture series.
Part 2: Facil Vasculature, Pryifomr and Lateral Midface
This segment addresses the detailed anatomy of the midface. Specifically, the midface ligament structures and lymphatic networks as it relates to injection procedures and avoidance of creating malar mounds during cheek injections. The lecture content will incorporate layered anatomical illustrations, high-definition cadaver dissection video and video recorded injections performed by Christopher C. Surek D.O., FACS.
Part 3: Tear Trough
We strongly recommend watching PART 2 – MIDFACE prior to watching this segment. In this lecture segment we take a deep dive into tear trough anatomy and injection technique. The lecture content will incorporate layered anatomical illustrations, high-definition cadaver dissection video and video recorded injections performed by Christopher C. Surek D.O., FACS.
Part 4: Temple & Peri-orbital
This segment addresses the detailed anatomy of the temple and peri-orbital regions. Specifically, a comprehensive review of the temple layers, ligaments, fat pads and injection planes. The lecture content will incorporate layered anatomical illustrations, high-definition cadaver dissection video and video recorded injections performed by Christopher C. Surek D.O., FACS.
Part 5: Jawline & Nose
This segment addresses the detailed anatomy of the jawline. Specifically, a comprehensive review of the chin, pre-jowl and posterior jawline as it relates to volume restoration & sculpting. The lecture content will incorporate layered anatomical illustrations, high-definition cadaver dissection video and video recorded injections performed by Christopher C. Surek D.O., FACS. Then we will address nasal anatomy and summarize the 3-D layered approach to facial navigation for the injector.
Part 6: Ultrasound for the Injector
This segment is a special presentation by the Ultrasound expert Steven Weiner MD. Dr. Wiener will take trough a crash course in the utilization of ultrasound for anatomic assessment, injection technique and complication management. You don’t want to miss the comprehensive, high yield and world class lecture on Ultrasound for the Injector.
Part 7: Cadaver Dissection - Facial Artery, Temple, Midface
This segment demonstrates live-on stage cadaver dissection demonstration of the facial artery and its associated branches. Followed by full face topographic mapping. Then Dr. Surek will inject the temple, midface, pyriform and tear trough with dyed hyaluronic acid product. Following the injections Dr. Surek performs cross-sectional dissection of the temple, midface and tear trough to demonstrate the intricate anatomy and key structural relationships in this advanced injection zones.
Part 8: Cadaver Dissection & Ultrasound - Jawline & Chin
This segment demonstrates live-on stage cadaver dissection demonstration of the lower face. Dr. Surek will inject the jawline, pre-jowl and marionette with dyed hyaluronic acid product. Following the injections Dr. Surek performs cross-sectional dissection to demonstrate the intricate anatomy and key structural relationships in this advanced injection zones. This is complimented by live on-stage ultrasound demonstrations by Dr. Steven Weiner.
Part 9: Cadaver Dissection & Ultrasound - Full Face
This segment demonstrates live-on stage cadaver dissection demonstration of the entire face on the left side of the cadaver specimen Dr. Surek will inject all targeted areas with dyed hyaluronic acid product. Following all the injections Dr. Surek performs cross-sectional dissection to demonstrate the intricate anatomy and key structural relationships in this advanced injection zones. This is complimented by live on-stage ultrasound demonstrations by Dr. Steven Weiner.

Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
• Identify the anatomical areas prone to adverse events if neurotoxin or dermal fillers are injected improperly
• Recognize the three-dimensional architecture of the face as it related to facial injection procedures
• Cite the rheological properties in Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers
• Discuss the complications from dermal filler injections
• Outline the topographic vascular anatomy of the facial artery and the superficial temporal artery
• Describe the ligamentous and layered anatomy of the temple, tear trough, midface, lips, and jawline
• Discuss the fat compartments of the face relative to facial injection procedures including the unique behavior of the deep and superficial fat compartments during the aging process
• Describe the layered anatomy of the nose with particular emphasis on the SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) and the vasculature
• Identify potential risk factors of patients to minimize filler complications.
